Treat Your Body Like a Sacred Place

Through the Bible, tabernacles were used and set aside for sacrifices to God, these were God’s sacred places for His people to atone for sin. In the new testament immediately after the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus, God used His SON whom God made flesh and blood to be a temple of perfection for His people.

When Jesus ascended back to His Father, He left a comforter for us which is Jesus’ Holy Spirit.

When we clean up our bodies and present them to God for His purpose, God “takes up residence within each of us as Christians.” Our very bodies are His temples. Our bodies are gifts to be cared for, treated well, and used honorably. When we harm ourselves, neglect our bodies, or indulge in bodily sins, we grieve Jesus, who lives within us.” I agree with the author of this passage; but the author fails to tell us what happens when we defile God’s temple, Paul in Corinthians, lets us know that God created us in His image to be caretakers of his earth and each other (1Cor. 6:19-20.)

For example, we condemn eating pork and the organs of animals when God tells us through scripture that He made everything good as found in the book of Genesis.

Matthew tells us it is not what we put in our bodies but what we allow to come from our hearts through our mouths (and actions) that defile our bodies.

May these words motivate and inspire you to take care of the (body) temple that you have been given so that God can use you for His Will and Glory.

We are human and our nature became defiled by Adam, Eve, and the Snake in the Garden Of Eden. Sin awakens the evil that torments the world to this day.

The heart (brain) devises evil thoughts, murdering, adultery, fornication thefts, lying, blasphemy, and hatred, these things defile God’s bodies. These thoughts are devised by Satan to detach us from God.

We show more respect for constructed buildings than we do for our bodies.

When we rely on the Holy Spirit to guide our footsteps, our thoughts, and actions, we protect God’s temple. We have thoughts but the Holy Ghost will prevent us from acting on those thoughts. That is how we protect our bodies from sin.

GOD is more concerned with what we permit to come out of us than what we put into our bodies. Through trust in His Spirit, we will be ok and God can use us as His servants.

We who are flesh and blood have been given a means of restoration when we fall. He welcomes us back to Him.

Each time we fall, we must get back up and stay on the path God set for us. Just as Jesus had to endure until His purpose was complete, as Saints, we must strive to be better and to do better until God calls us from labor to rest.

Serving God through Jesus’ shed blood guarantees us a place in His Kingdom. Are you ready to make that sacrifice?

Your body does not belong to you it belongs to God, it is on loan to you and one day it will return to the Earth from whence it came, take care of it.

PRAYER

Dear God, thank You that You created us in Your image; You created us “body, soul, and spirit.”

Thank You for choosing my body for your Will. Thank You for giving me the desire to seek after You. You allowed me to complete my study and become an expert in interpreting Your Word. I thank You for that.

Thank You for this platform Facebook/Meta, so that I can share your good news with those who take the time to read. Please continue to allow me “to use my body to honor You.

Give me the wisdom to care for Your body by balancing food, exercise, and rest” Help help me and Your Saints to escape Your wrath, not just me but, for Your Body of believers to resist the dangers of sexual immorality, reckless living with addictive behaviors, marking our bodies body art that caused You to destroy the inhabitants during the days of Noah and it is happening again now, Lord return our leaders back to You. You have given us the key to all that we suffer from now; yet, men ignore the blueprint that You gave to us, they pretend that they seek answers to these troubled times, troubled people when You instructed us in how to live our lives pleasing You. I pray that we will accept that there is none greater than You and there will never be one to equate with You. You made it clear when You said ” Thou shall not have no other gods before (You).”

Finally, Lord, Your wisdom will linger in my heart forever that I sin not against You.

Lord, it is easier to get illegal drugs than it is to receive drugs to heal Your Saints.

Thank You for proving that You will make a way for Your Saints in spite of the wicked leaders who sit in their offices and decide, who will receive care and who will not, they decide if they will pay for the meds that work or give a generic, they decide if you get long term care or not.

Thank you for always coming through for me. You prove to me every day that my hope is always in You and not some self-serving politicians.

Nevertheless, I am persuaded that You are Jehovah Jirrah, (my provider). Let me never forget that You will never leave nor forsake me and that I can call on You and You will answer me because I belong to You.

I pray that Your saints all over the world will learn to put all their trust in You as I do in the mighty name of Jesus, I pray, Amen, Amen, and Amen.
