We aren’t meant to live a life of excess. While it is good to have wealth and material possessions, we should rather commit these things to help those who are in need instead of accumulating things we know we won’t use. Giving is part of being a Christian and it is always best to give to those who are in need. Your life will serve as an example to others of how to live in moderation.
Adding to this inspiration, I am convicted.
I retired from 24-hour childcare and my K-12 school at the end of 2020 because of Covid and kept my adult and technical education program. I keep saying I am going to either start back another K-12 or after-school program.
Every time I go back to both my shed and my carport, I think Lord, I just need to give this stuff away. After my Devotion today and hearing me read out loud the Word Of God convicted me.
I know it is better to give than to receive but this Devotion reminds me that cleanliness is next to Godliness and I can kill several issues at one time by giving to those in need.
It is my desire to send these nice clothes, chairs, three-compartment sinks, and many other items to my sisters and brothers in Belize. If you know of an organization that ships to Belize, Haiti, or Jamaica, please inbox me.

Dear God, thank You for the refresher on trivial things that could cause me to step out of Your perfect Will for me, It is my desire to “live my life as a Christian, as your child, let me not be selfish but to make selfless decisions as You did for the world.
May I always model the path You set for me by serving rather than being served.
Keep me selfless in all that I do.
Dear Lord, may I be the example to those who have become disillusioned about the church and the purpose of assembling in Your name for worship, comfort, fellowship, and in obedience to Your commandments.
Finally, Lord God, as I prepare to rest tonight, thank You for keeping my mind stayed on You this day and please protect Your children everywhere tonight as they lay down to sleep. Thank You for being my Father and adopting me into Your Royal family and keeping me in tune with You.
Thank You one more time for reminding me to not lay up treasures on this earth so that corruption, weather, mold, and moth eat it up, I can give to make room for more blessings for me.
My spirit is always willing Jesus, my Yeshua but sometimes
My flesh fails me. In those dark tines carry me until the storm passes. Lead me to the Rock that is solid. It is impossible for me to make it without Your Holy Spirit guiding me in all that I do. I thank You that You are not like man; I pray all these blessings that You give to me in Jesus, Christ’s name, please when my life on this side is over, present me faultless before God. You are faithful, Amen, Amen, and Amen.
