When I tell you all that she is covered in the blood of Jesus, I am serious You’ll. God, you keep her. I promised her that my faith would be increased Of God pulled her through this test.

God did exceedingly and abundantly what He said. My sister and I said to her, “Mom we love you, we love God. We believe God and we believe in Science.”

We stayed Quarantined. I did not stay faithful to church because I wanted to obey the laws of man and God. She called me about one month ago. She said get your sister (********) on the phone. I made a conference call to my sister.

She said you two need to come to church.

We gave her the story of her teaching us to obey the rules of the land, unless, they conflict with the Word of God.

I listened as she admonished us to come to in-person service.

I said mom, I get my final Covid Vaccine on February 4, 2021.

Nate and I will come back to church.

Her reply to my sister and I, “I do not know what kind of God you two serve, not my God, you two serve a weak God.”

She said, “You better get out and come to church.” Of course, we did not go for medical reasons.

I am told, by the Pastor and members that on the Sunday after the Revival, the anointing fell on her and she preached up something.

The Pastor and the members were dumbfounded.

God through her said to them do as the Apostle Do and God will do the rest. God controls Covid, heart disease and any other sickness.

The Greater Aoh Church Of God never closed during the entire Pandemic. Every member was covered. God said He would prove He controls Covid 19.

The Sunday after Church, she was asked to go to dinner. The Saints said her response was, “God said for me to go home. I am going home.”

She found out that she had tested positive for Covid 19.

I had a “*****fit. I was frightened, I said Lord, please do not take my mama. We got everything she needed. Calls came from family everywhere. We kept waiting for her to get sick. She never got sick, just a runny nose, mild flu-like symptoms. No fever. Every day, I called, gave orders, wanted to see her on the duo. We had church on the phone to keep her from going to church. We had the Pastor live stream the services. She never got sick. When I called, she would say, “you all better pray for each other because I and Jesus are fine.” She washed clothes and cleaned up.

After 14 days, she took the test it was negative. I said, well mom, they say it comes, it gives you a break and it comes back with a vengeance.

She said “Mrs. Kathryn Crowell-Grate, you all may as well stop waiting for me to get sick and die. Covid and nothing else can stay in this body. This body belongs to God.”

My faith was increased. I felt the power of God through that phone line. My entire being was being touched. I said, “Mom you have convinced me. I believe. Jesus took the power out of Covid.”

My mom got two negatives. She went back to her Doctor preaching to the Doctor. I promised her if she beat Covid, I would tell the world.

I always promised to be “Unapologetically Raw” out here.

God is great and He is worthy of praise. He is Jehovah Rapha, He is Jehovah Nissi, if you want to know who Jesus is, just open your heart. Let Jesus in. My mom has not been perfect. She is old school. She put it all in for God. Her way is Jesus’ way. I say I relinquish my will to God’s Will today. I trust Him. The Doctors are amazed. I am redeemed.

I ask God to just increase my faith until I blindly trust that He will “deliver me from the snares of the fowler”. Some of you may not get this but the moral of the story is my mother will be 92 on March 19, 2021.

She does not play. Her words are rough many times, but I promise she is kept by a merciful and gracious God. If you have anything negative in your heart for this lady, you better talk to Jesus first and her second. She will get a prayer through. In these many years, I am sure she may have given you a tough Word but you get it right with her and God. The favor of God is all in her, all over her and she is His.

She is my Heroine in Black History.

I have seen what God does through her. She has prayed and suffered from many. She paved the way for female leaders in this County. She is blessed by God. She started a ministry in an old house on

Southwest Third street when I was a little girl.

When my friends in middle and high school wore pants to school, I had to wear dresses and pantyhose. I had to be in the house before the street lights came on. I had to sit in church and do my homework.

I was in church 24-7, it seems.

I had to walk around with plates and books on my head and not drop them. I had to be a lady.

This young lady in this picture was and still is a hard taskmaster.

She will give her last dollar to the needy. She has bought so many houses and put homeless people in them to increase their faith. She feeds people to this day. She never missed a holiday serving the needy.

She will go to court with you, stand with you, tell the judge how to run the Courts as Jesus did, give them one more chance Judge, I will vouch for them. She is the only preacher I know will prophesy in the Courtroom.

Now, this is history in Marion County. When her members or her children got in trouble she would drive them to turn them in.

You know who you are, many of you have benefitted. People have stolen from her and she asks the judge for mercy on her.

Today, I celebrate this trailblazer. Your daughter honors you. You are a proud woman even now. Help me honor this daughter of a slave, who worked in the home of prominent Ocalans like Gus Musleh, Chief Alvarez, and paid her way through college. Meet my person in history.

She purchased her first home when she was 16 years old. She ironed and starched shirts for Chief Alvarez and others. She is a woman of honor. Her name Is Deborah Dorothy Brown-Crowell, born Dorothy Katherine Griffin. When she gave her life to God, He changed her name to Deborah, like Deborah, the Mother of Israel.
