Romans Chapter 8 verses 1-2
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
Good morning, good evening, and good afternoon. The Lord is in His Holy temple, let all the earth keep silent. God has been dealing with me to say to his people. Be not afraid of your past. You are no longer a prisoner to sin you have completed and served your sentence for.
Many of you are great people but have things in your past that silence your voice when you should be standing up for corruption. You should be running for office as Christians.
You are carrying around the sin of self-condemnation when you should be telling your story to help someone else. God wants you to trust in the Spirit of His son, Jesus. Jesus lives in you now. He has cleaned you up for a reason.
The Bible says that we are born sinners. Once we accept Christ as our personal Saviour, we are no longer in the flesh, nor are we abound by the sins of our past. God is saying to you, you, and you, “you are free and whom God sets free is free indeed.”
God is saying to you it is time to stand up for what is right. If we are ashamed to own Him, He will disown us on the day of judgment.
The Senate is supposed to be the highest court in the land, even better than Supreme Court justices. If they can say they are representing the people but they want to be re-elected so they…then it is the responsibility of we the people to say enough is enough.
As I reflect back on court cases that I sat in on, put my trust in the prosecution to do what is right, and the jury to apply the golden rule to every case, I am convinced that good cannot come from evil and evil cannot come from good. We cannot expect justice to come from weak and sinful people.
Our justice system is flawed. It is up to true Christians now to stand and demand true justice, if we are indeed ordered to lift our hands on the Bible and declare that we are telling the truth, then we should require those same things for those who are sitting in judgment of us.
God has freed you Christians from your sinful past. I thank God for Tyrone Oliver and how God used him to show us an example of God’s forgiveness.
I would put my trust in such a person who has demonstrated the power and the cleansing of God, a person who is less than perfect. We have so many role models that we look down on but, I see them as disciples of Christ.
When Jesus started out on His ministry, He did not go and gather priests, judges, or Enochs to follow Him, he went and pulled ordinary men and gave them the options to lay away from the weights of sin and come work for the Kingdom of God.
I admire Dr. Darrell Tolbert who is an example to the entire world of who God is and what the love of Jesus Christ can do.
So my friends, what shall we say then? Shall we continue to allow the bonds of fear shame, and embarrassment to cause us to sit quietly in our community as Satan destroys our children one by one?
Paul advises us that as Christians the Spirit of God dwells inside of us.
Jesus said fear not for I am with you. As Christians, we will be talked about, we will be plotted against. But if God is for us, we should not fear what man can do.
We should not worry about whether we will lose our jobs or whether we will lose our friends, or our status, we should worry about where we will spend eternity. If you lose that job or you lose that friend, then, God is preparing you for what you will need to move to the next level in Him.
Romans 8:36 tells us that as Christians, we are killed all day long, Paul means spiritually, we are ridiculed and counted as sheep for the slaughter.
Satan wants you to hold your head down in shame. This prophet says to you today, Stand up, speak out, shout it from the rooftops that you are redeemed by the crucified Savior.
In closing, be not afraid to become bold soldiers for Christ, if He lives in you, you have been bought with the price of Jesus shredded blood. Stand up speak out, fight for your right to serve, fight for your right to be forgiven.
All sin is of the devil and one sin is no better than the other. You are no longer a prisoner to your past.
I pray that something I have said will encourage you today. Amen, Amen and Amen.
