Reflect to God’s Scriptures

Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed; To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the fatherless!

Isaiah 10:1-2

Reflection
Those in Ancient Israel, as we are today and in all lands, who prey upon the poor and vulnerable, who prevent justice against them and deny them their rights, sin against God. He declared, “what you do to the least of his children you do unto Him.” His eyes are in every place, He sees with His eyes. His eyelids test the children of men, there is nothing done in secret where he does not know.

Every man at some point in his life had to migrate to find work and eventually move his family. How dare anyone prevent him from living, prevent him from providing for his family?

As I rode home today, I saw a family in a van soliciting money for rent. I stopped and talked to them.

They spoke very little English and were excited to discover, I spoke Spanish. All they want is to work. to make money to support a household, I asked why are they not working, they said it was a problem with immigration documents.

How will we ever rid this Country of this pandemic, with people hiding in the shadows? How do we expect compassion from God when we have no empathy? Stew on that?

Dear Lord, God of all creation, You said Judge not so that we do not be judged, but Your Word also, states, If we see our brother or sister in need and close up our bowels of compassion, we are worst than an infidel.

Now! Lord, give us compassion one to the other, Lord for those who are helpless, those who are hungry, those who are homeless give us a heart like thine, Lord, teach us to abandon our selfish nature and become nurturers of each other. Lord! God, how can we ask anything of you knowing that we have turned a blind eye to one of your children?

You said all souls belong to you, but the soul that sins shall surely die. Keep me humble and as a servant of righteous. As I lay my head down tonight, I pray that they have somewhere to lay their heads rather than that over crowded van.

You will judge them one day if they are frauds, but I am careful how I entertain your people.

Praise you for giving me the courage to stop, to ask, to be able to understand their language. Thank you for them trusting me enough to share their story and to show me their immigration papers. If anyone out there have a heart and can help me guide this family, please post your information or inbox me.

I praise you now in the mighty name of Jesus.

Amen.
