Let me see who will read until the end!!! Caution!!!!!

When I first joined ALPHA KAPPA ALPHA Sorority, INC. I found out at that time that we had over 155,000 Sisters to share life’s experiences with. It was so awesome as I traveled around the country sporting my Regalia and having Sisters everywhere say hello Soror, or Skee-Weee, Soror. In my time of moving every two or three years, I lost my way.

I was so involved with my first love, The Order of the Eastern Star, that I lost my way. I connected to the general membership for a while before becoming dormant.
I thank God that He lit a fire under me and I reactivated to the local chapter. Facebook reconnected us in a way that distance cannot separate us again.

It is a pleasure to be a role model for the next generation of female family members. Two days after Founders’Day, I say to my family everywhere, hook up to a Sorority, hook up to the Eastern Star, allow the first to prepare you for the second. Life was not made to travel alone. One thing that I found out during Covid Pandemic is that life is sweeter when you have others to share in your struggle, never trying to go through life on your own.

During this time We need each other. Thanks to all of my genuine Sorors and my genuine Sisters, who always take an extra step to say, Hi, to submit, alike, on one of my posts, and who genuinely care if I am ok.

I pray that I will be a light on your path when it is dark, a friend when you simply need someone to walk with you in a park.

I pray that I will always guide you when you are lost, be there to help you when you do not have enough to pay the cost.

I pray that my love always shines bright, even to the end when we say our final Good night.

Love is not live unless it is shared, take a chance to be a friend, a sister, a confidant if you dare.
