Fight Your Own Battle

Simply put, save yourself, and keep your nose out of others business. They have the same choice as you.

Spend 99.5% of your time taking care of your faith walk and the other 5% of time assessing why you got off track and ask God to put you back on track.

Life is a battle for each of us to fight, so fight your battle and allow others to make their choice. They have the same rule book as you; let them choose how they get to their destinations.

Life with all of its pitfalls is a journey. As you mature in life and in Christ, you will find out that your struggles become easier when you free yourself of allowing other people’s business to become a pitfall for you. Simply put live, love, laugh, watch and pray. If you let your life resemble the life of Jesus, you will keep your nose out of people business. If they ask for your help, remind them what Jesus did in the situations where He was (invited) to assist. He gave the WORD, short, sweet and to the point. This scripture reminds us to “stay in our lane” and model the desired behavior Jesus did on earth.

Remember, even Jesus had many pitfalls on His earthly journey, He fasted, He prayed, and He even asked His father to relieve him from the pitfall of death.

What if He had not died for us?

Thank you Lord Jesus that you gave me you, Your WORD is all I have. When I attempt to get myself worked up because of someone else choice they make on life’s journey, help me to refocus my energy on my journey, help me to be my sister and brother’s keeper without trying to be the judge, juror and executioner. Instead, let me be a guide through this journey by focusing on my journey, remembering the serenity prayer, and the golden rule. Keep me in the learning is ongoing mode, help me to access my allies, stay focused on my journey, fall down, get back up, dust off the dirt, heal the scars, and change when it is necessary, finally, leave myself open for God.

Good morning.

Lord, help me to examine myself. Let me see the flaws in myself, instead of focusing on the flaws in others. Help me to clean up around my own back door and focus on pleasing you, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
