Good Morning,
When I woke up this morning, my intent was to just post, “Happy Father’s Day” and a picture.
Father’s Day is not for wives, but for children to show appreciation of their dad. I began to rethink my day. My Dad is gone. Today is the day, I pay honor to him.
So, I say to my Dad I love you daddy, I miss you and I will always be there for you as you were there for me. You were not perfect Dad but you gave up the things of the world and sacrificed the rest of your life allowing the perfect man to live in you.
That to me makes for a perfect dad.
I miss you today, but then I miss you everyday. Thank you for being my dad, owning up to your mistakes and making things right, in my eyes, moved you from being my father to being my dad.
You loved my mom, you loved your children, A true Dad is a father who is man enough to say, I did wrong, but I will make it right. You did that, dad.
You came back to your first love. You honored her, you publicly asked her for your forgiveness, you owned your part in allowing the military to separate you from physically being there for mom and us all the time. You came home. Your heart was set on remarrying your first wife and being by her side until God called you home. You did that, my hero.
Many things you shared with me, at the end, I will always remember, today, I publicly declare you the model Father and the best dad in the world. You are a perfect example of a man whom God honors.
I love you and though your spirit is not in the tomb, I honor your remains as a daughter should. Any man who marries his first love, is separated from her by life’s trials, but seek her out after the death of his next wife and say to her in the presence of her church family, I honor this wife, the mother of my children who raised them to love the Lord without my presence all the time is the perfect example of a dad to me. Rest Easy, Dad, Sleep In Peace, My husband has the “Watch” now for me and your youngest son who is my mom’s bonus son has the “Watch” for you with being there for mom. You are the epitome of a dad and father.
Happy Daddy and daughter’s Day to you. My first love.
I will not rest until you get your proper burial as Master Mason through my Prince Hall Family. Your death was sudden, not enough time to prepare for a proper burial because of your and mom’s wish not to prolong holding your body out. I promise as a PHA member, I will get you your Masonic Rites at your site. I love you daddy until we meet again.
