Values: God’s Kingdom vs the World

We are faced daily with declining morals and trust in the people who should be leading our nation and all nations of the world. It appears that our aging leaders have accepted that life on earth comes to an end, and our leaders are irresponsible about how they leave our government; because they will not be here anyway. The selfish nature of humans is being manifested in our faces because technology has exposed the corrupt nature of men.

The writer of this passage below, states, “Life on earth is finite. It is temporary. And it always ends the same: with death, followed by eternity.

The values of God’s kingdom are not the same as the values of the world. So we cannot love the life that this world offers and expect to find eternal life waiting at the end…”

As Christians who accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we must not conform to the values expressed by this government, because, the government no longer conforms to the foundation that the builders of the Constitution used to establish our government.

Those founding fathers were inspired by God, just as the writers of the Bible were inspired by God. When God is removed as the foundation of any government, that nation is doomed to fail.

David said it best in Psalms 9:17, KJV: The wicked shall be turned into hell and all nations that forget God. It is important that the saints stay prayerfully and hold fast to the covenant that God made with us.

He promised to never forsake us and that assurance is what we should hold on to in this time of turmoil. Yes, we are living witnesses that our government is broken. It is happening in real time. How can we expect the population to be stable when the government leadership is in chaos?

It does not take a person to have a degree in Psychology or Sociology to figure out that people have lost faith in leadership. That along with Covid 19 devastated the country and the world. People feel hopeless. Had it not been for my faith and belief that there is eternal life awaiting me when my temporary existence on this earth is over, I, too, would be in despair.

As the writer of this passage states, and I concur, “Only when we reject the life that this world offers and live as citizens of God’s eternal kingdom do we find true..” purpose, comfort, and assurance of everlasting life with God.

We must be willing to suffer and die to sin and even natural death to obtain everlasting life.

David said, “The needy and the poor would not always be forgotten and would not perish forever.” That is a promise of love and security to die for.

It is essential that we who belong to God be dead to this world in order for us to “reign with God eternally. St. John 12:25 paraphrased.

PRAYER

Lord God, said, “You said, we are born full of troubles and our days on earth are few, we are born, we flourish like the flower, and then abruptly life ends, as our shadow does the same, but one day You will return to judge our actions while we were alive on earth (Job 14:16 paraphrased). Help me, my family, my PHAmily, and all those who seek after You to be steadfast and unshakable in their walk, help us Lord to hold on to You, even when our hope is failing, lift us up Lord, comfort us, and never allow us to compromise on Your Word, but to double down, when satan comes to convince us that Your way is too hard, Your way is not right, Lord, that when You made man and woman in Your image that you faltered. There is no failure in You. If You are aware of the number of hairs on my head and if you know just how much testosterone it takes to make a man. Life is temporary. “Life always ends the same: with death, followed by eternity. The values of God’s kingdom are not the same as the values of the world. So we cannot love the life that this world offers and expect to find eternal life waiting at the end. Help us to accept that “only when we reject the life (of sin) that this world offers and live as citizens of Your eternal Kingdom do we find true, lasting life.

Lord God hold us in Your mighty hands as we continue to trust You, I that the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart draw me closer to You every minute of the day in the mighty name of Jesus. The Christ, Amen, Amen, and Amen.
